Thorpe campsite is situated in the heart of the Thetford Forest and just on the River Thet, making it a beautiful location for camping and caravanning, with views of the natural scenery and wildlife. The site offers cycle routes, marked walks and fishing, all with the Norfolk Broads as the backdrop. There are 460 pitches at Thorpe which are a mixture or standard and premium pitches.
The site’s woodland spaces attract a varied wildlife and many birds and deer can be spotted here. The local area has plenty of activities to keep everyone busy, Banham Zoo, Bressingham Steam Museum and Knettishall Heath Country Park are all nearby.
Dogs are welcome and there is a small shop on site which sells daily essentials. There are no toilets or showers blocks on site but Porta Pottis are available to rent. Prices start from £11.30 for a standard pitch and £16.00 for a premium pitch in the low season, rising to £12.90 for a standard pitch and £17.50 for a premium pitch during the high season. Camping and Caravanning Club members receive a discount of £3.50 per night and families can get a discount of £1 per night.
