The £3 million Ludlow Touring Park in Shropshire has become the latest site to be accepted as an affiliate of the Caravan Club.

Owned by Shewsbury-based firm Morris Leisure, the 135-pitch site has enjoyed a solid summer of trading, with a high number of caravanners and motorhome owners heading to the region.

The site has also won praise for its excellent facilities, which were developed to five-star standards on a 20-acre area near to the River Teme.

It was these high standards that attracted the praise of the Caravan Club, which currently owns or is affiliated with some 206 parks spread across the UK.

Caravan Club head of estates Tony Barnett said: “Morris Leisure’s development of Ludlow Touring Park exceeds even their very high standards in an attractive riverside setting yet close to the town’s amenities.”

Morris Leisure currently operates two affiliated sites for the Caravan Club with the Riverside Touring Park at Betws-y-Coed and the Stanmore Hall Touring Park at Bridgnorth.

The company also owns the Oxon Touring Park and Oxon Pool Holiday Home Park in Shrewsbury and Bow House Country Park, near Bishops Castle.
