Overlooking the North Sea from a vantage point in Whitley Bay, a sandy beach is just a short walk away from Old Hartley and when the tide is out St Mary’s Island complete with lighthouse is accessible. Old Hartley is a traditional holiday park and Whitley Bay a traditional seaside town, making it an ideal place for families to stay and a brilliant base from which to head into Newcastle on the Metro system or just explore the local area and the nearby leisure centre.
The 64-pitch members-only site is well equipped and has a toilet block and laundry facilities. Wi-Fi is available to visitors and waste disposal is possible at the site, which is close to multiple local transport connections.
Rates per pitch per night range from £5.65 to £8.30 across the season – which runs from April until November – and per person fees are charged on top. For adults these start at £5.10 and rise to £6.40, while for children it costs between £1.30 and £2.20.
