The five-berth Lexon 550 is the largest in the Lunar Lexon range and is a great caravan for families, boasting bunks at the rear nearside, a single dinette on the offside and a convertible double or twin singles in the emerging from the fully-sprung front seating area. The washroom to the rear has a Thetford electric-flush toilet and a shower unit with ‘Eco Camel’ water-saving shower head, while the separate domestic-style washbasin is located along the offside. The well-equipped kitchen contains everything needed for a hearty family meal, with a four-burner hob, large oven with grill, Sanyo digital microwave and Thetford fridge as well as a classy black enamel sink and draining board.
This style continues throughout the 550, which has been designed with sleek functionality in mind. The sleek ‘Chestnut’ wood interior throughout gives the storage facilities a good finish, well complemented by the ‘Crystal’ worktops and luxurious ‘Pamplona’ upholstery. The whole caravan has a light and spacious feel, with large double-glazed windows and an energy-efficient LED lighting system throughout.
Underneath this sleek interior is a quality, reliable vehicle that runs Truma’s duel fuel water and heating systems. The dual fuel systems offer warmth and comfort while there is also an external shower connection point and a ‘super pitch’ water connection point. The two-speaker sound system and multi-point television system provide the entertainment, all of which is powered by a 25-metre mains connection lead and 12V charger and transformer which are controlled from an easy access control panel.
