Eight-foot wide caravans have been popular throughout Europe for many years, but until recently they were not permitted on UK roads. With Britain’s laws finally catching up with the rest of the continent, Slovenian manufacturers Adria are well-placed to offer a highly spacious range in the form of the Astella collection of touring caravans.
As the most luxurious ‘vans in the Adria range, you can expect unrivalled interior space and luxury from these surprisingly affordable models. The stylish, contemporary interior design with Valor upholstery is complimented on the outside by the distinctive grey-coloured polyester bodyshell.
Lone ranger
The first layout to be launched in the Astella range was the 613 HT, which offers a popular four-berth, single-axle configuration. In the nose end a compact kitchenette includes everything you need for rustling up a hearty meal, while the C-shaped offside dinette can convert into a double bed. The twin single beds in the centre are large enough for two adults to sleep on and come with adjustable headrests, making it easier to read in bed. Furthermore, the sprung mattresses are made from hypoallergenic materials. The spacious rear-end bathroom, with walk-in shower completes this layout.
A second Adria Astella layout with a fixed double bed is planned for a February 2012 launch at the NCC Motorhome, Caravan & Camping Show at the London Excel Centre.
Quality without compromise
Throughout the range, you can expect quality fixtures and fittings, ranging from the ERGO bathroom concept, which includes a fold-out sink that is not only very stylish, but saves on space. Other practical considerations include the LED lighting throughout and the Alde central water heating system, which guarantees year-round warmth.
