The Caravan Gallery to host Wirral Pride of Place project

Visitors to the Caravan Gallery are being encouraged to add their own tributes to the people map of Wirral

An innovative art exhibition is set to be held in Wirral, set up as The Caravan Gallery, it will be used to celebrate everything great about the area.

Members of the public are being invited to contribute to the Wirral Pride of Place project which is the brainchild of community group Momentary Art Project, Wirral Globe reports.

The special exhibition will run from Saturday (8 June) to 23 June and people are being encouraged to add their own personal landmarks and observations to a People’s Map of Wirral.

Organisers want residents and natives to come up with their own tribute to the area whether that be through 2D or 3D artworks or even poems, films, photos, old postcards, books, souvenirs or found objects.

Contributors can visit the project in Unit 7, Marine Point that will be open daily between midday and 6pm.

The Caravan Gallery has held a number of Pride of Place projects in the past with the likes of Guernsey, ‘<' . strtolower('Array') href="http://www.caravantimes.co.uk/news/arts/caravan-gallery-celebrates-pride-of-portsmouth-$21379965.htm">Portsmouth and Lytham St Annes being the subject of the exhibitions.
