A Sterling Eccles Sport 586SR is heading on a tour of the UK, but it looks a little bit different to the average model you might find at your local caravan dealership.

Gas company Calor, with a little help from the Swift Group and Salop Leisure, has converted this particular caravan into an all-new ‘Calorvan’.

Fully branded in the company’s distinctive gas-bottle red, the Calorvan is travelling the length and breadth of the UK in a marketing tour designed to promote the company’s connections to the caravan industry.

Following its launch at the Motorhome, Caravan & Camping Show this week, it is all set to attend events and shows across the country, with a website, Twitter and Facebook page all documenting its travels.

Paul Madge, Calor’s leisure accounts manager encouraged people to keep their eyes peeled for the bright red caravan.

“It’s a great opportunity to show our commitment to the leisure industry and demonstrate Calor products and services,” he said.

Commercial director at Swift Group, Nick Page, agreed: “The Calorvan will definitely grab everyone’s attention and will help promote caravan ownership up and down the country.”
