Street Kitchen has parked up in the trendy east end of London with a vintage Airstream caravan serving up tasty treats, and the venue will remain open on Shoreditch High Street for the rest of the year.

The Airstream caravan concept is the brainchild of Jun Tanaka and Mark Jankel and has already been successful in permanent locations such as Broadgate Circle and Battersea across the English capital, BigHospitality reports.

Shoreditch’s version is perfectly placed for the upcoming Shoreditch Village development which will be built on an old car park near to the Tea Building with construction due to start in the coming years.

Street Kitchen will serve a range of British bistro-style lunches but will be priced as if they were street food.

Mr Jankel told the news provider: “We’re hoping to do a more permanent site in Shoreditch Village. The development will be made up of restaurants, cafes and a market, which I’m also talking to the architects about.”

Wednesday’s menu (27 March) included hot smoked salmon, crispy chicken with warm crushed potatoes, and slow roast pork with coleslaw among other tempting dishes.
