Parkdean to invest heavily in holiday parks throughout UK for 2015

Parkdean will invest heavily in 24 parks over the UK

Parkdean’s plans signify a big year for holiday parks in 2015, but will caravan and motorhome facilities be considered?

Parkdean will invest £13.2 million into all its holiday parks in Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, Devon, Norfolk, Dorset and Hampshire this year it has been announced.

Parkdean, who has seen a 25 per cent growth in bookings across the UK, will allocate
£6.8 million on accommodation for new holiday homes and lodges while £1.7 million will be spent on refurbishment of current homes at the different parks. £800k is said to have been allocated for new lodges at the Ruda resort in Devon. There has been no official statement on whether or not spending plans will also concentrate on revamping touring facilities.

Chief executive of Parkdean Holidays, John Waterworth, is very optimistic of the year to come. “We had a very successful 2014 and this significant re-investment shows our confidence in our customer growth in 2015 and beyond. We are committed to providing the best holiday park accommodation in the UK market.”

Parkdean will also upgrade wi-fi access across all 24 parks.

The question remains, however, what, if anything, will be done as far as upgrading facilities for caravanners and motorhomers are concerned. With the amount of expenditure announced for 2015, surely upgrading pitching facilities should be a given. Do you think we’ll see any changes made to this section of Parkdean’s client base?
