Lunar Caravans has revealed its delight with the turnout at last week’s Motorhome, Caravan and Camping Show as sales topped the £2.4 million mark.

The Lancashire-based caravan maker chose the Excel show to launch its new Venus Caravans brand and was happy to see the latest models make up 12.4 per cent of total sales across the show.

“The Venus brand has so far achieved all of the objectives we set for it,” said Martin Henderson, sales and marketing director for Lunar.

“It has hit the right price points with extremely low weights, and has exceeded all expectations in delivering quality and specification at such a good value.”

Maintaining their reputation as Lunar’s most reliable performers during the show, the Clubman and Delta ranges made up 40 per cent of all of the company’s sales, while the Clubman SB came out as star of the show once again.

Despite more brands competing with their own fixed single bed models, the SB was still Lunar’s most popular model at this year’s show.

Lunar’s next appearance at a major show will come in October, when the company will be exhibiting at the NCC Motorhome and Caravan Show at Birmingham’s NEC.
