John Lennon caravan to go under the hammer

A caravan which once belonged to legend John Lennon may be put up for auction

A gypsy caravan once belonging to John Lennon has sparked a bidding war between parties from all over the world.

Bracknell News recently reported that the mobile home had been found in an Ascot garage after being hidden from public view for over 40 years.

Many fans believe that the caravan should be returned to Lennon’s first-born son, Julian, who was given the vehicle for his fourth birthday.

However, Alan Carr, finder of the Sgt Pepper’s caravan, and fundraising director of the Ascot Lawyers’ Foundation, wants to put it up for auction to raise money for the charity.

Mr Carr told the news provider: “I think it’s fine if fans want it to go to Julian but we are determined to raise a specific value so the charity can do as much good as possible.”

Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Heart Club Band is one of the most iconic albums the band have ever made and scored a string of number ones across the globe when it was originally released in 1967.
