‘<' . strtolower('Array') href="/bailey/">Bailey of Bristol has celebrated a significant milestone in its history as the 1,000th Approach SE motorhome came off its production line in South Liberty Lane.

The company has only been making the model for the past 18 months, making this a significant achievement in such a short space of time, especially against the backdrop of tough economic conditions.

Part of the reason why Bailey is able to build motorhomes so quickly and precisely is that their South Liberty Lane facility features a cutting-edge rolling production line, which slowly carries the models through the factory as teams of workers complete the building process.

Bailey initially launched the Approach SE range at the Motorhome & Caravan Show in October 2011 and has undergone an extensive development programme during its production.

The motorhome features a Peugeot 2.2 HDi 130bhp engine, complete with a six-speed manual gearbox and combines British interiors with an enviable specification level.

Nick Howard, Managing Director of Bailey, said: “To have passed this production milestone in such a short period of time is very encouraging and is testimony both to the popularity of our products and our growing stature as a multifaceted leisure vehicle manufacturer.”
