The AA has released details of the latest edition of their Caravan and Camping guide which details over 900 campsites across the UK, and names their choice of the best sites in the UK.

The big winner was The Old Oaks Touring Park in Glastonbury, Somerset which was adjudged to be the best caravan park overall, taking the best park in England prize in the process.

This adult-only site won praise in all areas, achieving the highest quality score available in the guide.

It is set on a working farm near Glastonbury Tor and combines the stunning views with spacious pitches; it also won praise for the new state-of-the-art toilet block.

The Scottish caravan park adjudged to be the best was the Milton of Fonab Caravan Site, in Pitlochry which was praised for its excellent views and location that made it an ideal place to tour Scotland.

For Wales the winner was Caerfai Bay Caravan and Tent Park in St David’s, Pembrokeshire which was noted for its excellent facilities including a geo-thermal heating system.
