2013 Caravan Club pitch prices to be released one month early

Now there's another reason to mark 5 November in your diary

November 5th may be best known as Guy Fawkes Night for friends and families up and down the country, but for avid caravanners this date will holds a different significance this year.

That’s because while the masses head outside in search of fireworks and fun in the cold winter sky, keen Caravan Club members will be staying in to peruse the campsite prices for the coming 2013 season.

This year’s go-live date for prices is the earliest yet, with previous years seeing prices and bookings made available from the first Wednesday of December.

But with the Caravan Club eager to release prices and information to its members as soon as possible, this date has been moved forward giving them longer to plan and research next year’s trips.

As a result, full price lists will be available on 5 November and advance bookings will be released as usual on 5 December.

Peter Martin, head of Membership Services for the Caravan Club, said: “By releasing the prices early, members will have time to really think about where they want to visit and have more chance to research the area and work out their budget.”

Back in 2011, more than 31,000 bookings were made within the first hour of the service going live.
