Elddis has upped the stakes in the luxury caravan market by completely redesigning its flagship Crusader range.
Featuring a bold front Sky-Scape sunroof, this model will certainly turn heads on dealer forecourts as the 2014 season heats up.
Over the past few years, many manufacturers have switched to the sunroof design, and it’s easy to see why, as this key feature adds a modern twist on the outside and a greater feeling of spaciousness inside.
As with every model in the 2014 Elddis collection, this range features Solid Construction and comes backed up by an industry-leading ten-year water ingress warranty.
That’s not all, as the interiors have been improved to create a truly luxurious feel to this highly impressive touring caravan range.
The sunroof makes a huge difference on the inside, adding plenty of natural light to compliment the craftsman-built cabinetry.
New for 2014, dovetail joints in the drawers make for added durability, ensuring that this caravan will last the test of time.
Other upgrades include a 40-litre on-board water tank, so you’ll find yourself lasting longer between trips to the water point.
For added security, Elddis Crusader owners get a Thatcham anti-theft tracker fitted as standard, along with a set of Diamond-standard wheel locks.
What’s more, the Alde central heating system has been improved, with touchscreen control making it easier than ever to get the interior temperature just right.
There are plenty of small tweaks as well, such as a larger door-mounted bin and new cocktail cabinet accessories, which reflect the fine attention to detail in this high-class caravan.
Layouts and prices
Five layouts have been carried over from the 2013 collection: the Tempest EB is a six-berth, and the rest are four-berths.
What’s more, two new transverse island bed models are due to be added to the range over the coming months.
The improved Supersirocco should prove particularly popular, with the fixed double bed moved to the nearside, making for easier access to the under-bed storage from your awning.
Elsewhere, the four-berth Shamal boasts the increasingly popular fixed twin single bed layout, while the Cyclone offers a rear island bed and a split washroom.
Prices start at £21,599 for the single-axle models, while twin-axle tourers will set you back £24,499 (including VAT, but exclusive of a £495 RRP delivery charge).
This makes for a price rise of £500-£600, when compared with the 2013 equivalents. MTPLM weights are yet to be confirmed.
