Tyres are an essential part of the tourer, the only part in contact with the road, and if they are not properly maintained can cause severe damage to the caravan itself.
In this video we talk to Ed Cross of Towergate Insurance about the dangers of poor wheel maintenance.
He tells us that one-in-ten claims are down to issues with wheels, before also offering advice on what you should check before you travel.
We then meet Peter Ashby of Golden Castle Caravans who demonstrates how to change a tyre, should the worst happen.
Despite what you may think, the process is relatively simple – he estimates that it should take about ten minutes to replace a tyre and the process is very similar to changing a car wheel.
