It’s the situation that every caravanner dreads: your sense of direction has let you down badly and you realise that you need to make an about-turn.
But, with no roundabout in sight, you decide that you have to execute the infamous turn in the road.
With a unit that can measure up to 40 feet long, a U-turn is out of the question and unless the road is particularly wide, even a three-point turn is an ambitious target.
In this video, towing instructor Neil Greentree demonstrates how to turn a caravan around by reversing around a corner into a side road.
And after Neil shows us how it’s done, it’s time for your humble Editor to get behind the wheel and have a go…
