The Lunar Quasar range offers a high-class caravan at a great price, and the lightweight four-berth 494 model demonstrates this perfectly. The single axle tourer is great for small families, with fixed bunks on the offside for the kids and a convertible double at the front for the grown-ups. A very spacious washroom has a C250 toilet with electric flush, a domestic style washbasin and a shower unit which has a high-pressure ‘Eco Camel’ shower head, cutting water consumption by as much as 20 per cent. In the well-equipped kitchen there is a four-burner hob with electric hotplate as well as a separate grill and oven, a Sanyo microwave installed at eye-level, and a 112-litre Thetford fridge.
This particular model, the Quasar 494, has a sleek chestnut wood interior with classy handles throughout. The spacious, natural wood framed lockers look great against the fashionable new ‘Tilla’ upholstery, complementing the attractive fixtures and fittings throughout.
The 494’s lighting is all provided by a cool LED system which provides great light while reducing energy consumption. Mains power comes from a 25m connection cable, as well as a 12V charger and mains transformer, while the mains sockets are all colour coordinated. A single easy-access control panel houses all the electricity controls, from which the digital television station and sound system are powered.
