One of Dorset’s premier holiday park chains has been honoured at the recent Dorset Tourism Awards.

West Dorset Leisure Holidays owns five parks across the region and has now scooped a hat-trick of accolades at the ceremony.

The company’s flagship Highlands End Holiday Park in Bridport was named Holiday Park of the Year and was also honoured with the Sustainable Tourism award.

It did not stop there however as the plaudits kept rolling in for the group as managing director Martin Cox was also given a special award for Outstanding Contribution to Tourism.

Mr Cox expressed his delight at Highlands End being named the best holiday park in the county.

The company is no stranger to awards and has previously been commended for its commitment to sustainability and was recently bestowed with a top gold level accolade in the prestigious David Bellamy Conservation Award.

The group is also up for nomination in the forthcoming National Visit England Awards, which will take place in 2014.
