Webbs Motor Caravans is expanding its operations following the acquisition of Salisbury Caravans.

The company will now trade under the name Webbs Caravans following the takeover of the Old Sarum-based organisation, the Salisbury Journal reports.

Officials at Webbs have already expressed their delight at being able to complete this acquisition and explained that it represents a “new era” for the motor caravan dealership.

Speaking to the news provider, Andy Cahill, Webbs Motor Caravans’ director, said: “When the opportunity to purchase Salisbury Caravans became available, we jumped at the chance.”

All staff at Salisbury Caravans will be retained as part of the acquisition while Webbs will be looking to invest in order to take on more employees.

Webbs sells a range of both new and used motorhomes and caravans while also running its own eBay shop for auctioning models.

The latter allows customers to buy components for their mobile homes easily over the internet.
