The Paddock in Manton, Rutland, has been honoured with the title of the Certificated Site of the Year award for 2012/13 from The Camping and Caravanning Club.
Club members were impressed by the magnificent views that the facility offers and ensured that the campsite beat off all competition to land the prestigious accolade.
The Paddock is a privately-run facility and is one of the more picturesque club sites across the country and gives visitors panoramic views of the Rutland Water Reservoir.
Caravanners are also able to take advantage of various outdoor activities such as cycling and walking while there is also a nature reserve and outdoor adventure centre meeting the needs of every age.
Jason Allen, who owns the site with father Brian, said: “We are very proud to win the CS of the Year – we’d advise anybody considering becoming a five-van-site to contact the Club first because they really do take you on a step-by-step guide through the whole process.”
