The Apprentice to feature NCC Caravan & Motorhome Show challenge

Lord Sugar's hunt for his new business partner has taken the show to the NEC

by Tom Walsh

Wednesday night (12 June) on BBC One will see candidates from The Apprentice battle it out in a sales task filmed at last October’s Motorhome and Caravan Show.

Lord Sugar posed the two teams the task of selling a range of products to the tens of thousands of people that visited the event.

Organisers of the UK’s show had been contacted by the hit BBC One television programme last autumn to see if the event, held at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre, could be used to host one of Lord Sugar’s business challenges.

Viewers will be able to watch the likes of confident regional manager Neil Clough and cocky retail entrepreneur Luisa Zissman sell the latest mobile home products for the spring season, all the time under the watchful eye of Lord Sugar’s aides Karren Brady and Nick Hewer.

The Motorhome and Caravan Show is one of the biggest events of the mobile home calendar with 11 halls of the NEC being occupied by vendors and giving visitors a glimpse of the latest innovations.
