Caledonia Investments Place has acquired a major holidaying company, Park Holidays UK, for the considerable amount of £172 million.

Since 2006, Park Holidays UK has achieved the status of being the fourth largest operator of caravan parks in the country.

As a result, apart from selling and hiring caravans to holiday makers, the company also owns and operates 21 freehold and two leasehold holiday parks in the South of England, featuring around 9,000 pitches.

The transaction with Caledonia Investments has sparked positive internal feedback with the Chief Executive Officer of Park Holidays UK, Jeff Sills saying that: “Caledonia is acquiring a leading participant in the UK holiday market with excellent growth prospects.

“Caledonia’s forward-looking investment model will ensure that we can continue to enhance and expand our park portfolio,” he added.

At the moment, the current portfolio of Park Holidays UK consists of a mixture of holiday parks, where each park has a distinct individualistic character.

It is hoped that with this recent development, the company will have the opportunity to further improve their business prospects.
