A touch of celebrity glamour has been added to the Spring Caravan & Camping Show, following the announcement that television stars Nick Baker and Andy Torbet are set to make an appearance.

Scheduled to run from February 19th through to the 24th, the event will see the television presenting duo joined by celebrity chef and author Valentine Warner.

The BBC stars will be getting involved in a host of interactive features at the show, which is being held in the NEC in Birmingham.

Organisers are keen to emphasise the ‘great’ in the ‘great outdoors’ and will be hoping that Torbet and Baker provide the necessary assistance, with a variety of outdoor activities due to be hosted in the Midlands venue.

These will vary from kayaking and raft building to a number of water zorbing and rock climbing challenges among other events.

The natural side of the outdoors will also be showcased with eye-catching animal additions including eagles, snakes and giant rabbits.

It’s part of a concerted effort to showcase the wildlife close at hand to those spending time on a caravan holiday in the UK.

Extreme adventurer and zoologist Andy Torbet will be taking part in some of the more energetic goings on at the event, while wildlife enthusiast Nick Baker will be getting to grips with a number of creepy crawlies that will be present and correct in Birmingham.

Rounding things off nicely is Dorset-based cook Valentine Warner, who will be dishing up tips and advice on how to make the most of your ingredients when cooking during a camping excursion.

Torbet is going to be on hand on Tuesday February 19th, while Baker will attend on Friday February 22nd and Warner is due to make an appearance on Wednesday February 20th.

Representing the biggest event of its kind, the Spring Caravan & Camping Show will provide attendees with an opportunity to find out about new destinations, getaways and inspiring days-out.

With plenty of tents, caravans, motorhomes, campervans and holiday homes also available to inspect and enjoy, this could be one to keep the calendar open for.
