Park Holidays sees surge of October bookings

It's been a good year for caravanning with many sites reporting an increase in visits during summer

It seems that British holidaymakers are refusing to let the summer go and are booking more breaks for the rest of the year.

Park Holidays UK stated that it has seen a surge in reservations for October holidays and the figure has already managed to eclipse 2012.

The month features a half term for schools all over the country and, despite the recent wet weather, a large number of people are planning a little getaway.

Park Resorts, which has 23 coastal parks between Suffolk and Devon, stated that it will be offering 5,000 extra holiday packages at a fixed low price to meet the growing demand for an autumn break.

This £54 holiday is for a family of up to six people taking either a long weekend three-night stay or extending to a four-night midweek vacation.

Tony Clish, Park Holidays UK director, said: “The extra fixed-cost holidays we are introducing are set at our lowest-ever price point this year, but their numbers are limited, and early birds are in with the best chance.”
