While other regions may boast more glamorous claims to fame, it would appear that when it comes to caravanning the region of West Norfolk and King’s Lynn is the place to be.

Data published in the latest census shows that the area boasts the highest number of households living in caravans, with an impressive 5.9 per cent.

This is considerably more than the 0.4 per cent average seen across the entirety of England and Wales.

Speaking to the news provider, National Caravan Council representative Jackie Duffy pointed to the beauty of the rural and coastal landscapes found in the region as the chief reason behind its noticeable popularity.

She also noted the improved weather that the east of the England enjoys as another key selling point.

“Other factors that might encourage people to opt for caravan living in this part of the country include the opportunity to live with like-minded people in a place with a strong sense of community,” Ms Duffy added.
