A former election campaign caravan is set to be given a graffiti art makeover as part of a fun day in West Yorkshire.
Stuart Andrew, MP for Horsforth and Aireborough, has donated the tourer he used in the build-up to the local election to the Rawdon Fun Day which is aiming to raise money for the charity Bethany’s Smile.
A graffiti artist is set to transform the caravan into an innovative work of art but will also be used as a base for first aid, the committee and lost children on the day.
The Ilkley Gazette reported that the event will take place on 1 June at Redbeck Field, Layton Road, Rawdon and there are already a host of fun activities planned for the day.
Visitors will be able to see birds of prey, galloping acrobats, dancers, a working fire engine as well as trying their hand at the welly wanging championship.
Mr Andrew is not the only politician to use a caravan for campaigning as the Daily Post reported that Jeff Evans, a former Holyhead mayor, used a tourer for his own election drive in Anglesey.
