Kampa Caravan And Motorhome Awnings

A sneak peak at Kampa products on display at the NEC

By William Coleman

Over the past week or two I have been scrolling through the exhibitor list for this year’s NEC show so I can then highlight who I feel are must see exhibitors, Click here. Last week when I was doing my research I came across what Kampa had on display and really liked the look of their Air Break Pro 3 and 5. So I dug a little deeper to find out what else I could see myself using and saw that the Kampa awning range are a bit of a stand out product.

Kampa make awnings for pretty much every vehicle you can get your hands on, even car awnings, all of which have been designed to handle every season and weather type you’re likely to find while touring.

Due to the versatile Kampa range it was very hard to pick a favourite so I thought I would start at the top with Kampa’s 2019 models which you will see on display in Hall 12 at the NEC Caravan and Motorhome show next week.

For the motorhome owners among you I would strongly suggest looking at the Motor Ace AIR All-Season 400 (pictured below) which is brand new for 2019 and the Motor Rally Drive-Away AIR Pro awnings.

The Motor Rally AIR Pro Drive-Away has 3 different models, all of which come in sizes to suit the touring vehicle you have. Both the 260 and 390 are brand new sizes for 2019 which will also be on display at the NEC. Kampa has seen some real success with these motorhome awnings throughout Europe last year and are keen on keeping the momentum going.

These best selling models make motorhome holidays with an awning so much easier. There have been times in the past where I have seen people actually pack up everything, set off for the day and then come back and pitch up again. That will not be necessary with these Kampa models. They have been designed to allow you to leave it standing on site while you go off on your adventures.

Motor Rally Pro

Updated for 2019, the Motor Rally AIR Pro Drive-Away now features doors in the rear tunnel of the awning allowing for convenient access to the vehicle without going through the awning.

The free standing Motor Rally Drive-Away is very easily set up and takes a matter of minutes to erect. Being able to inflate through a single point via the high quality pump, which is actually supplied, means that within no time at all you can be set up and ready to relax.

Now for the caravanners out there you should be looking at the Kampa Grande AIR All-Season 330 and the 390, both models are also new for 2019 and can be seen at the NEC.

The 330 comes with a floor plan of 330cm wide with a dimension of 300cm. Having a 300cm deep awning really does extend the amount of outer living space and is one of the largest Kampa offer. Having 3 meters of space is amazing and I can imagine you’d have so much space you’d be stuck with what to do with it, or just throw a party for your neighbours.

Over the past 2 years most sites I have visited have been pretty much fully booked which is a clear sign that winter touring is becoming increasingly popular. With an AIR All-Season you really can make the most of your caravan all year round.

The AIR All-Season has all the features and benefits of the Rally AIR models but with the added mega 3 meter depth. Unlike other awnings the All-Season has been designed for extended use and has been adapted to support the most extreme weather conditions. What with the recent storms we have had and a potential sub zero temperature the Four-Season fabric will make a world of difference this winter.

How about a classic looking awning with all the up to date modern design technology? Look no further than the Kampa Club AIR Pro range.

The stand out feature for me, apart from the vintage look, is the staggering 275cm depth. Each model (330, 390, 450 and 390 Plus L/H & R/H) features the Club AIR Pro’s Dual Pitch roof which boasts a striking front apex, offering a unique aesthetic and providing masses of headroom. The Club’s feature loads of ventilation to combat condensation, and as with all of the awnings mentioned above, feature Kampa’s Single Point Inflation system – setting these awnings up really is a breeze. Reversible zip-out side panels allow for great optional extras too, the Pro annexe and Tall annexe are great for guests and storage, whilst the Conservatory annexe is perfect for soaking up those off season rays.

Now that you have had a small teaser of what Kampa have to offer you can put them on your “to visit list” for the NEC. With all the innovation we are seeing with Kampa you can guarantee 365 day holidays with their awnings.
