The May bank holiday is approaching and, for caravan owners, that will mean having a little break in one of the many sites around the country.
However, warranty provider MB&G has warned holidaymakers about checking the most common faults before they set off to ensure that do not have to make an unnecessary claim on their protection policy.
The company noted that the top five most reported problems were as follows:
- Water ingress
- Fridge faults
- Battery charging systems
- Toilet faults
- Water taps
Officials advocated that people take out extended warranty to safeguard themselves in the event of any unforeseen costs.
David McPhee, managing director of MB&G, said: “These faults crop up time and time again and are definitely areas which caravan owners should pay particular attention to before heading off on weekends away and annual holiday jaunts.”
He went on to say that with the warmer weather approaching people need to be sure that their caravan is up to scratch and if not, it should be repaired immediately.
