An independently run caravan and holiday park in Devon is the proud recipient of a major tourism excellence award, it has been announced.

Woodovis Park, near Tavistock in Devon, has been rewarded with a British Quality Foundation (BQF) award under the Tourism Business Excellence Programme.

BQF awards are normally handed out to much larger organisations, so the owners, John and Dorothy Lewis, said that they were thrilled by the accolade.

“With this achievement under our belts, guests can rest assured that they’ll enjoy an exceptional holiday experience, which is what matters most,” Mr Lewis said.

The holiday destination has also recently won a gold medal in the Devon Tourism Awards and it was a finalist in the Hoseseasons Diamond Award for exceptional quality and outstanding customer service.

Woodovis Park offers premium on-site facilities, such as a heated swimming pool, a sauna, and a shop, which offers freshly baked bread and pastries.

Furthermore, caravan enthusiasts visiting the five-star Devon holiday park can choose from 50 spacious pitches.
