A Christian biker has been left homeless after thieves towed away his caravan in Wisbech.

Leslie Hendry had parked his mobile home in a layby on Lynn Road opposite Kwik Fit in the town but just half an hour after he had left to go to church a blue-grey pick-up was seen driving the caravan away, the Fenland Citizen reports.

The 46-year-old, originally from the north-east, is now appealing for help recovering his beloved caravan which he had been living in following the breakdown of his marriage.

Speaking to the news provider, Mr Hendry said: “I am just shocked.

“I came to this town because I was told it was nice here and there were plenty of opportunities for work, so I am finding this very hard to believe.”

The incident took place on 2 March at 10:30am and anyone with information is being urged to contact the police on 101 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
