Bailey Owners’ Caravan Club renamed to Bailey Owners’ Club as Brits take to motorhoming in force

The Bailey Owners’ Caravan Club has rebranded itself as The Bailey Owners Club (BOC) following the company’s successful expansion into the motorhome market.

The reason behind the name-change centres around an increase in the number of motorhomes leaving Bailey’s production facility in Bristol, and the Club’s inclination to recognise the significant change in the direction of the business by ensuring it continues to appeal the owners of all kinds of Bailey leisure vehicles.

The Bailey Owners’ Club is a fully independent organisation which looks to help people get the best use from their Bailey caravan or motorhome. Run by a team of volunteers, and with support from Bailey of Bristol, it has been established for over 45 years and includes members from all over the globe, with a dedicated ‘Little Bees’ section for the younger members of the family.

The club offers low-cost weekend events and rallies throughout the UK, often at exclusive venues, and themed around fun or informative activities, plus longer holidays both home and abroad.

Other benefits include a unique opportunity to tour the Bailey factory to see where and how Bailey’s caravans and motorhomes are manufactured as well as meet the people who are responsible for making them. Members are also automatically signed up to receive exclusive offers including discounts from selected retailers and insurance companies.

To celebrate the name-change, the new BOC is launching a special competition open to anyone who owns a Bailey caravan or motorhome and visits its desk on the Bailey of Bristol stand (Hall 2) at the Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show, Birmingham from 23 to 28 February 2016.

The first prize in the competition is seven nights at a choice of three or four-star Camp’Atlantique campsites in France for a car and caravan, or motorhome, and two adults on a full-service pitch with electric hook-up, plus a DFDS Seaways ferry crossing from Dover to Calais or Dunkirk.

The second prize is seven nights at the luxurious Lakeside Touring Park in Lincolnshire, part of the Don Amott Parks group, with a full range of facilities including a heated pool complex, bar, restaurant and cabaret room.

There are three third prizes of VIP tours of the Bailey production facility in Bristol for two people, including lunch with the directors.

Jeff Tallis, chairman of the Bailey Owners Club, said: “We are very proud of our 45 year heritage and during that period hopefully we’ve helped a great many people get the best out of their Bailey caravan. However we need to be forward-thinking and with the changes going on in Bristol we wanted to become a more inclusive organisation in order that we can broaden our appeal to as many Bailey caravan or motorhome as possible”.

Nick Howard, managing director of Bailey of Bristol commented: “Whoever you are and whatever your background you’ll be sure of a warm welcome from the Bailey Owners Club. They have always been a friendly and enthusiastic group of people who have a real passion for enjoyment of the great outdoors with their Bailey leisure vehicle.”

“We fully support their decision to re-brand themselves and are delighted that they have now become the official Owner’s Club for both Bailey caravans and Bailey motorhomes” he added.
