2014 NEC Caravan and Camping Show reports record attendance

This year's show spread across five halls of the Birmingham NEC

It will come as little surprise to those who there to soak up the buzzing atmosphere, but last week’s Caravan and Camping Show at the Birmingham NEC was more popular than ever.
Organisers NCC Events have reported that the outdoors extravaganza, which ran from 18-23 February, attracted 84,205 visitors.
This is new record for the total number of people who came along to see the biggest names in the caravan, motorhome, tent and holiday home world packed into five halls of the exhibition centre.
Free activities, complimentary parking and a whole host of celebrity appearances also played a part in the popularity of this year’s show, which featured ‘<' . strtolower('Array') href="http://caravantimes.co.uk/news/caravan-shows/ncc-spring-caravan-and-camping-show/ashleigh-and-pudsey-wow-the-crowds-at-caravan-and-camping-show-$21383920.htm">2012 Britain’s Got Talent winners Ashleigh and Pudsey performing in the new Dog Agility arena.
Other big-name cameos included former Blue Peter presenter and adventurer Helen Skelton, Springwatch presenter and Camping & Caravanning Club president Julia Bradbury and ‘<' . strtolower('Array') href="http://caravantimes.co.uk/news/clubs/caravan-club/world-s-fastest-man-andy-green-aims-to-create-world-s-largest-caravan-site-$21383906.htm">the world’s fastest man, Wing Commander Andy Green.
John Lally, CEO of NCC Events, said: “The show has provided newcomers with the opportunity to fully explore and appreciate the many benefits of caravanning and camping.”
