Bailey Pursuit: New entry-level Alu-Tech caravan launched at NEC

The Bailey Pursuit replaces the outgoing Olympus and Orion ranges

by Chris Jefferies
An all-new entry-level Alu-Tech caravan has been unveiled at the Birmingham NEC in the form of the Bailey Pursuit.
This new model will be available in a choice of six layouts, ranging from two to five berths, and replaces the outgoing Bailey Olympus and Bailey Orion.
The Pursuit varies from its predecessors in two key areas, as Bailey has fitted a front sunroof and will be offering an optional extra Premium Pack.
Unlike other sunroofs on the market, this design leaves enough space for the front overhead lockers to be retained.
Meanwhile, the Premium Pack boasts an Al-Ko AKS hitch lock, ATC trailer control, Secure wheel lock, flyscreen, microwave and a spare wheel.
Towing safety is ensured by the fitment of WSL wheel bolts and Michelin tyres as standard on all models.
In terms of build, this Alu-Tech model will come with 30% thicker GRP walls, which combine with the Truma Combi boiler to keep you warm all year round.
And Bailey has ensured that the Pursuit will stand out from the crowd by designing a contrasting slate grey and polar white bodyshell.
Interior ingenuity
Step inside the Pursuit and the first thing you will notice is the 6’5″ headroom, followed by the classic Bailey Walnut woodgrain.
Spice soft furnishings offer a touch of modern design, while the Dometic fridge-freezer, Thetford combi oven/grill and three-burner hob provide all you need for cooking up dinner.
Washroom facilities include a Thetford cassette toilet and an energy-saving Eco Camel showerhead.
The layouts on offer start with the classic two-berth 400-2, while the 430-4 and 530-4 both offer a fixed double bed.
An increasingly popular layout, the 550-4, brings two fixed single beds into the equation, while the 540-5 and 560-5 offer family layouts based on fixed bunk beds and convertible dinettes respectively.
All layouts feature the classic front lounge configuration, as well as an end washroom.
The Bailey Pursuit will be on display at the NCC Motorhome & Caravan Show at the Birmingham NEC until Sunday (20 October), with Bailey dealers expected to take their first deliveries soon after.
