With four berths at its disposal, the Elddis Odyssey 550 is designed for families with one or two children in mind, coming with one fixed double bed and two singles. The double measures 6’1″ by 4’5″, while the singles are both generous in size – at 6’0″ by 2’4″ and 6’11” by 2’4″ – meaning they are also suitable for adults.
In the kitchen, the tourer has all the standard mod-cons, including a Thetford 115-litre fridge with a frameless door, a Spinflo three-burner hob with high-speed multi-function burner and electronic ignition and a Spinflo Midi Prima oven with two shelves and a built in light. The functionality of these devices is offset by the stylish glass sink and hob covers, while a double socket in the kitchen also allows you to bring your favourite appliances.
The 550 has five mains sockets for connectivity, as well as a Sony CD radio tuner, stereo speakers and an omni-directional TV aerial. Outside, the entertainment is augmented by a gas barbecue point, allowing for outdoor dining during the finer weather, while the awning warmer ensures the fun carries on even once the sun goes down.
