Swiss Farm, a caravan park in Henley, has been named the best in the south-east by the AA.

Owner Joseph Borlas has spent £1 million and the last five years on a total refurbishment of the site and has spoken of his pride at the location being selected for the prize.

Speaking to the Henley Standard, he explained that two shower blocks, the caravan site’s clubhouse and the swimming pool have all been refurbished.

Mr Borlas said: “We have done the basic infrastructure and are about to add some play areas. The award is a real boost for everyone who has worked on this.”

A new cafe is now being planned by the owner of Swiss Farm, with Mr Borlas’ wife Erika set to run it. The couple have two daughters together – Olivia, five, and Eleanor, three.

The cafe is set to open next month and will serve freshly ground coffee, paninis, sandwiches and cakes.
