One of the stars of BBC’s Countryfile programme is set to receive an honorary doctorate from Sheffield Hallam University.

Julia Bradbury has been recognised by the South Yorkshire institute for her work promoting the appreciation and preservation of the great outdoors, The Star reports.

While she has a track record for working to restore the Great British countryside back to its former glory, Ms Bradbury also recently became the first female president of the Camping and Caravanning Club.

The countryside and caravanning go hand-in-hand with people enjoying great scenic views whenever they go on their holidays.

Ms Bradbury will be presented with the doctorate at a ceremony at Sheffield City Hall on Thursday (14 November).

She told the news provider: “It is a surprise, honour and a privilege to be recognised by Sheffield Hallam. I am thrilled to be considered for a doctorate and can’t wait to join everyone at City Hall.”
