From Paris to Birmingham: the Airstream is on a whistle-stop tour

Airstream has come a long way since its inception over 80 years ago. From an American tradition, Airstream has become a household name in Europe, with France being the latest market to ride the Airstream wave.

Airstream Europe displayed their 684 model at the Salon des Véhicules de Loisirs 2014 show near Paris, marking the first time the brand has been seen in France during its 83 year history. Interestingly, only single axle caravans are allowed to be exhibited at the event, but Airstream was, in all senses of the term, an twin-axled exceptional success. The four berth caravan with options for solar panels on the roof, a fully automatic satellite system, a caravan mover and leather upholstery has proved extremely popular among campers in the US; so much so that Airstream has released an upgraded Series 2 684.

You don’t have to cross international borders to catch a glimpse of Airstream though. The brand will be at the 2014 Motorhome and Caravan Show at the NEC in Birmingham, from 14-19 October. So make sure you feast your eyes on the Series 2 684, the 604, the 534 and Airstream’s two Eriba Tourings, the Eriba 430GT and the 530GTi. We certainly will be.
