Over the past few years, caravan heaters have become more and more powerful, and now they are getting smarter as well.

In the new Swift Challenger SE and Sterling Eccles SE ranges, Swift Group has fitted an Alde heating system that is controlled by a clever touchscreen control panel.

To find out more about this system, we sat down with Gary O'Brien from Swift, who explains how the new control panel works.

He also tells us that caravanning all year round is becoming more popular, and so caravan manufacturer's need to fit heating systems that can cope with sub-zero conditions.
