Sterling Europa: the entry level family tourer

Sterling sits under the Swift Group umbrella - arguably the largest manufacturers of leisure homes in the business. Swift Caravans design and manufacture caravans, motorhomes and static holiday homes, and have built a reputation for producing lightweight, affordable vehicles that don't compromise on style or comfort.

Overview

The Sterling Europa range is the entry level marque, offering style and comfort at affordable prices. With several single axle layouts to choose from, models range in size from the single axle 2 berth Europa 390 to the 6 berth Europa 565.

The Scandinavian inspired interiors are bright and fresh, while the furniture has recently been re-styled with an 'Oregon pine' finish.

These popular family tourers all have a class leading headroom of 6'5" and every model is built with one-piece thick gauge aluminium side walls.

Sterling redesigned two models for the 2011 season: the Europa 570 and the Europa 565. The 570 houses a new 6 berth front lounge, and a side dinette that doubles up as a bunk bed. The Europa 565, which shares the same layout as the best selling 550, has been reconfigured with a separate shower room and a wrap around dinette in place of the fixed bed. Further upgrades include larger volume waste bins and energy efficient, low heat LED lighting.

Features

Water is delivered to the washroom and kitchen facilities via an in-board high capacity pump. Separate shower mixers have adjustable head positions.

Well thought out storage solutions include under seat lockers and the bed bases have sprung hinged tops for easy access.

The kitchens are airy with built-in ventilation for the microwave ovens and 107 litre fridges are digitally controlled, with a metallic door finish that compliments overall design.

Cost options available include an AL-KO ATVC trailer control system, secure wheel lock and a HAL GPS tracking system. There is also an alternative Sterling fabric scheme available.

In July 2011, the Sterling Europa range was phased out in favour of the new Sterling Eccles Sport models.
