Sprite Quattro FB

Friday, 28, Oct 2011 09:37

The largest in the Sprite Caravans range, the Quattro FB is a six-berth twin-axle caravan perfect for families. A fixed nearside double bed to the rear for parents is complemented by two bunks on the offside and then a fully convertible double in the living area at the front that can convert to two singles if preferred. There's plenty of space throughout and the en-suite washroom at the rear offside comprises an electric flushing Thetford C260 toilet, a washbasin and shower, all of which is serviced from inboard semi-rigid water pipes and underslung rigid waste pipes. The kitchen boasts a Thetford three-burner hob oven with a separate grill and a manual ignition Thetford 112-litre fridge.

Designed to be aerodynamic on the road, the Quattro FB's front is made from closed mould GRP and has a full-height moulded ABS rear panel. Built on an AL-KO galvanised steel chassis with Euro-axle it is a solid design with one-piece 5000 series marine grade aluminium sidewalls. Floors are laid with highly durable lino and all windows are double glazed. The caravan has stylish Mali Acacia woodgrain cabinets and despite the relatively low price for a caravan of this size, it has many nice finishes such as a chrome finish crockery rack and cassette flyscreens and blinds on all the windows.

What's more the Quattro is a very cosy caravan, heated by a dual central heating system. Water is heated by an all-new Dual fuel Truma ultrastore water heater which offers two settings depending on how fast you need the water to heat up. A 25m mains hook-up cable supplies four 230V sockets, all of which are controlled from an easy-to-use 12V control panel and battery state meter. Lighting throughout comes in the form of halogen lights, which are adjustable downlighters in the living and sleeping areas. Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms come as standard and a concealed security chip is hidden within the caravan's body. Lots more add-on options such as alternative fabric scheme or a built-in microwave oven are available as factory-fit or dealer-fit options too.
