Attracting over 144 million visitors annually, the East Midlands offers visitors a variety of activities and places to stay.
The beautiful Peak District National Park is located in the heart of England and provides year round activities. Be it land, water or air the Park can provide entertainment for the most intrepid adventurer - activities include paragliding, climbing, walking, cycling, and water sports.
Sherwood Forest is already infamous for being the fabled stomping ground of Robin Hood. In modern times it hosts a week-long festival each summer and is home to the famous Major Oak - one of the natural wonders of the Midlands.
The East Midlands topography is largely made up of flat, sweeping fens and farmland - a perfect backdrop to the many churches and stately home that dot the landscape. For a bit of speed and excitement the area is also home to Silverstone, Britain's premier motorsport circuit.
