Police warn of series of caravan thefts in Kent area
Police have warned caravanners to remain vigilant following a recent increase in caravan-related theft in the Kent area.
The warning comes amidst a spate of thefts on the evening of 1 January in the areas of Sandwich and Eastry, which saw one caravan stolen and four additional caravans broken into, as fears mount that a gang is targeting caravan owners in particular.
The Four Winds Caravan Park in Eastry was also targeted, with thieves making away with two sat navs from two cars.
Police spokesman Jon Green said: "Police are investigating these as separate incidents but considering the possibility they were committed by the same offenders."
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Kent Police on 101 or Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting reference numbers ZY/188/15 or ZY/136/15.
