The Elddis Crusader comes in a wide range of flexible layouts

Elddis Caravans has designed a high spec finish at an affordable price with the the aspirational Elddis Crusader marque - the company's most popular range

Ideal for families, the Elddis Crusader Shamal was introduced in 2011, featuring a four-berth layout with twin fixed beds in the rear and a convertible double in the front end.

At the other end of the scale, the six berth Elddis Crusader Tempest introduced in 2010 was built with family in mind. The 1.82m long side dinette comfortably seats four and there is a full sized triple bunk bed configuration on the nearside.

Flexible Layouts

Whichever model suits your needs, Elddis Crusader caravans come with a range of features as standard.

The living areas feature a twin bunk lounge and 100% LED mood lighting. Contemporary locker doors with a metal trim inset are complimented by luxury neutral fabrics, with the option of a luxurious leather upgrade on fixed bed models. The washrooms are well kitted out and spacious, with a dedicated dressing area, Rimini double shower and Thetford C250 cassette toilet. Water is supplied via a Whale Aquasource water system with 40 litre on-board tank.

When it comes to mealtimes, the Elddis Crusader models come well equipped with all the usual kitchen equipment. A 195 litre fridge comes as standard, while the oven and three burner hob sit alongside a stainless finish microwave and sink.

The BPW swing V-tech chassis is enhanced with high speed towing stability, optional suspension dampers and an intelligent drive control unit.

Key improvements in the range for 2012 include a completely redesigned exterior, which more closely resembles Elddis' luxury sister brand, Buccaneer Caravans.

New features for 2013

  • 3KW dual-fuel Alde 24-hr programmable central and water heating system
  • Class-leading wider acrylic gas locker with dual gas struts and large universal gas bottle storage
  • Avtex 16" LCD flat screen TV with integrated DVD player, built-in Freeview, CD player and USB port
  • Avtex high gain, omni-directional aerial
  • Four drawer chest unit with pull-out table for occasional dining
  • Highflow submersible pump with intelligent controller and inline filter
  • One-piece GRP sides for ultimate resistance to minor damage

Update: In August 2012, Elddis announced that the Crusader range would now be built using their pioneering Solid Construction technique. This method features industrial-grade adhesives in place of screws and bolts, to deliver added strength, lightness and dryness.

What's more, the company tweaked its popular six-berth Tempest layout, changing from three bunks to two and widening the rear bathroom. The result is the Elddis Crusader Tempest EB - the newest addition to this range.
