Being a morning TV presenter usually means all kinds of diverse assignments. So when GMTV presenter Jeff Brazier heard he would be broadcasting live from a caravan park, it was all in a day's work.

Until that is, he liked it so much that he booked a holiday.

Brazier was broadcasting from the Combe Haven holiday park in Hastings to launch GMTV's search for singing families. He was so bowled over by what he saw that he returned with his family and friends to spend a week's holiday on the park.

The TV presenter was spotted playing football and swimming with his sons. Later on he was an onlooker when his when they entered the talent show, and he stayed around for the evening entertainment.

Brazier is a father of two boys with the late Jade Goody, who was herself a TV personality of note. He said 'It's great to see the children running around with so many new friends in the entertainment centre. And it's a really safe environment for them. "

Incidentally, and perhaps inspired by the GMTV visit, Combe Haven is staging its own event entitled 'Combe Haven's got Talent'. If holidaymakers suitably impress the judges, they will be asked to return for a free break later in the year, while £1000 is the prize up for grabs.

During the month of August X-Factor stars Journey South will be performing at the camp. Breaks at Combe Haven during the summer holidays start from £229 for a family of up to six people.

Details can be found at www.haven.com or call 0871 230 1900.
