Is it really possible that Carry on Camping is 40 years old? For many it will feel like yesterday since Sid James and Kenneth Williams graced our screens with one of the classic British comedies. And who can forget a young Barbara Windsor and her aerobic exercises outdoors?
If you too are feeling nostalgia upon reading this then help is at hand. In celebration of the 40th anniversary of Carry on Camping Newlands caravan park is hosting a themed charity weekend. Situated at Charmouth near Lyme Regis in Dorset the event takes place between November 14-15.
All proceeds from the weekend will be donated to Children in Need , with a special rate of £1 per person for caravan and camping pitches. Any extras will be £1, while electrical hook ups are charged at the standard rate.
Carry On fans will be treated to a weekend of themed entertainment where visitors are encouranged to dress up as characters from the film. Games and old fashioned PE sessions will be complimented by a band playing classic music from the 1960s. And the showpiece event will be an auction of memorabilia from Carry On Camping.
