Adria Adora

Monday, 12, Dec 2011 11:22

Situated at the mid-range of the Adria Caravans collection, Adora offers a choice of four layouts, ranging from four to six berths. The Slovenian manufacturer boasts stylish and contemporary interior design throughout, with beautiful soft furnishings, ambient lighting and plenty of interior space.

The quality fittings on board include deep wash basins, Thetford cassette toilets, large walk-in showers and plenty of overhead and wardrobe storage. An AKS stabiliser is fitted as standard on all models for safer towing, while the dent-resistant polyester bodyshell protects your van against unsightly stone dents.

Four's a crowd

Families can choose from a selection of four carefully thought-out layouts in the Adora collection, which starts with the 542DL. This four-berth tourer has twin fixed single beds in the rear and a spacious end washroom, ideal for those with larger children. Those looking for more interior room can choose the 642UP instead, which moves the washroom to the centre and includes a spacious convertible double dinette in the nose end.

If it's a fixed double bed you're after, then the 612DP may be the ideal choice of layout, with the island bed arrangement at the rear boasting his and hers wardrobes. A nearside kitchenette and an offside washroom completes this layout.

Finally, the 612DT offers six-berth comfort for larger families, thanks to its nearside fixed double, offside dinette (which converts into a twin bunk bed) and the convertible double in the nose end.

Adore your Adora

There are a few more choices to be made, including a choice of two types of upholstery - the standard Opulance or the optional Oyster design.

Best of all, each fixed bed in the Adora range comes with a new adjustable latoflex head support, which allows you to read in bed more easily.

Prices and weights for the Adria Adora range are as follows:

FEATURE: 21st century caravan construction: How are caravans made today?

Some companies have welcomed the change in technology

Regardless of your chosen caravan manufacturer, construction methods have changed unrecognisably over the last decade. Early adopters, Bailey of Bristol, were the first to change their construction with the introduction of Alu-Tech, but each of the manufacturers have done things in there own way. Below we have provided you with a quick synopsis of how all the main manufacturers make their caravans.

Self levelling technology: Why is there not more of it out there?

Self levelling systems are popular with its users but there are only a few caravan and motorhome models that offer the technology

The caravan and motorhome industry are amazingly early adopters of technology, and modern leisure vehicle specifications are incredibly high. Some leisure vehicles have more specification than the average home, boasting huge fridges, solar panels, alarm systems, satellite dishes, LED touch lighting, even underfloor wet central heating in some models.
